Skopje, 14 August 2025 (MIA) – The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said early on Thursday that the wildfire in Jasen National Park is still active, affecting an area of mixed forest.

Due to the ongoing fire, the R1106 regional road between Makedonski Brod and Skopje has been closed to all traffic, the Auto-Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM) said.

CMC reported that, as of 7 am Thursday morning, 25 wildfires had been recorded nationwide, two are still active, three are under control, and 20 have been extinguished.

Active fires are reported in Jasen National Park, in Makedonski Brod municipality and near the village of Oktisi in Struga.

According to the CMC, the fires in the village of Radusha, Saraj municipality, Arachinovo municipality and Demir Hisar municipality, have been put under control.
