Skopje, 24 August 2025 (MIA) – The VMRO-DPMNE-led government together with the Ministry of Education has laid the foundations of a strong national system, Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska said addressing the panel “600 million euros for development and local progress” at Sunday’s fair of mayors “Four Years Working for Your”.

In under a year, projects estimated at 67 million euros have been implemented, she stressed. 

“In just one year since the formation of this government, we launched and implemented projects worth 67 million euros. The Ministry of Education and Science with its funds in the first year, we covered projects estimated at 32 million euros,” Janevska said.

Seven new schools were built, 20 other schools were reconstructed and 4 sports facilities are being built, she added. 

“We built 7 premises, i.e. 7 new schools as part of existing schools. During the same period, we reconstructed 20 other schools all the while starting the construction of 4 sports facilities in Aerodrom, Kisela Voda, Struga and Lipkovo. It is yet another proof that this government doesn’t treat the municipalities differently, it only takes care of the citizens,” concluded the Minister.
