Skopje, 17 July 2024 (MIA) – Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska held Wednesday a working meeting with EU Ambassador David Geer and discussed deepening cooperation and implementing projects to improve the national education system.

According to a Ministry of Education and Science press release, Minister Janevska thanked the EU for its continuous support in the reform processes and pledged that the country would continue to closely cooperate with the EU. In the spirit of partnership and common values, she said, the country would implement the 2024-27 Reform Agenda aimed at meeting the objectives of the Growth Plan for the countries of the Western Balkans.

"The country's active participation in realizing the European agenda through IPA funds and mobility programs gives us faith that our students will soon be educated in a modern, European education system," Janevska said.

The education minister also discussed with Ambassador Geer the new government's planned policies regarding education and science, pointing out that the situation required simultaneous action in all segments, according to the release. mr/
