Skopje, 24 April 2024 (MIA) - GROM presidential candidate Stevcho Jakimovski conceded defeat in the first round of the presidential elections and wished VMRO-DPMNE candidate Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova success in the runoff.

"I am conceding defeat at these presidential elections, while congratulating Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova for her lead and wish her luck in the second round," Jakimovski told a press conference.

He said results are far below his expectations but added that citizens had the chance to choose among seven presidential candidates.

"Of course, the results are far below my expectations. But it is important that the citizens of Macedonia chose among seven candidates. We will see in five years from now whether they were right or not," said Jakimovski.
