Matteo Berrettini needed 1 hour and 29 minutes to cruise past Raphael Collignon 6-3, 6-4.
Flavio Cobolli, meanwhile, saved seven match points in the tiebreak to prevail in a three-set thriller against Zizou Bergs, winning 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (17-15) after more than three hours.
In Sunday's final on home soil in Bologna, Italy will face the winner of Saturday's match between Spain and Germany.
Italy are the first nation to reach a hat-trick of finals since Australia in 2001.
