Interior Minister Toshkovski meets French Ambassador Baumgartner

Skopje, 16 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Interior Panche Toshkovski held a working meeting with French Ambassador Cyrille Baumgartner on Tuesday. 

Minister Toshkovski briefed participants in the meeting on the program objectives of the new Government and the priorities defined within the Ministry of Interior, including uncompromising fight against organized crime and corruption, the plan on reorganizing administrative services and the new job systematization, change of the training system, with an emphasis on continuous training, digitization of the ministry, etc., the Ministry of Interior said in a press release.  

"We know exactly what we want, we have the experience and will to achieve European values ​​at home with honest and dedicated work," Minister Toshkovski stressed. 

Ambassador Baumgartner expressed confidence in clear ideas about the country's perspectives, highlighting the importance of security issues and security as a fundamental right, the press release adds. 

"Baumgartner gave strong support in the area of ​​all necessary training for police officers, noting that ten French police officers are already participating in the Frontex operation, ensuring security at our southern border. He voiced confidence that mutual cooperation and support will only continue to further intensify," reads the press release.
