Interior Minister Spasovski: Country doesn’t need early parliamentary elections
Skopje, 16 December 2021 (MIA) – North Macedonia currently doesn’t need to hold early parliamentary elections because citizens are tired of voting almost every year, Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski told reporters on Thursday, in response to the opposition’s demands for snap elections after North Macedonia failed to get a date to start EU accession negotiations. “We have to focus more on citizens and their needs. The strategic goal of starting talks is high on the government’s agenda, where it should be, but focus mush be put on North Macedonia, citizens, economic standard, progress, and everything else people expect,” Spasovski said after the Head of the OSCE Mission to Skopje, Ambassador Clemens Koja, handed him over a donation of vehicles.
