Interfest classical music festival begins in Bitola

Bitola, 2 October 2024 (MIA) -- Finnish violinist Linda Hedlund and Italian pianist Antonio Di Cristofano will give a concert of works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Jean-Marie Leclair, and Frédéric Chopin at the opening of Bitola's Interfest classical music festival on Wednesday evening, MIA's Bitola correspondent reports.
Hedlund and Di Cristofano will be accompanied by the Bitola Chamber Orchestra.
In addition to the musicians from Finland and Italy, performers at Interfest 2024 include classical music artists from Spain, Iran, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Switzerland, France and Austria.
They include the flutist Rudolf Gindlhumer, pianist Karl Eichinger and oboist Claudia Kefer-Gindlhumer, together known as the Vienna Symphony Virtuosi, Interfest artistic director Milica Sperovic Ribarski told MIA's correspondent.
Interfest 2024 will also offer a piano masterclass with Bertrand Giraud.
The classical music festival will close on Oct. 11. mr/
