Skopje, 29 June 2022 (MIA) – There has been a 65 percent rise in new COVID-19 cases compared to the previous week, yet at the same time there is no increase in hospital admissions (there are 10 hospitalized COVID-19 patients at the moment) and there is no increase in deaths, the Commission for Infectious Diseases concluded at Wednesday’s meeting, the Ministry of Health said in a press release.
In accordance with these parameters and taking into account the rising trend of COVID-19 cases in neighbouring countries and the world, the Commission reminds of the mask mandate in health facilities, care facilities, pharmacies and public transport.
In addition, the Commission recommends the citizens be responsible, protect their own health as well as the public health, and follow precaution measures including wearing a face mask, keeping physical distance and washing hands often.
The Commission for Infectious Diseases is carefully monitoring the situation and will make appropriate recommendations depending on any developments, said the press release.
