Industry turnover up: statistics
Skopje, 14 October 2022 (MIA) – The turnover index in industry, in August 2022 compared to August 2021 increased by 17.6%, statistics show.   According to the State Statistical Office, the total turnover by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, was higher in Capital goods by 42.9% and Non-durable consumer goods by 25.3%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 9.2% and Durable consumer goods by 9.6%.   The turnover index in industry, total, in August 2022, in comparison with July 2022, increased by 3.4%, while in the period January-August 2022, compared to the same period last year, the turnover index in industry increased by 16.6%.   On the domestic market, the turnover index in industry in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, also increased by 13.9%. The turnover in industry on the domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 14.8%, Durable consumer goods by 2.1% and Non-durable consumer goods by 19.8%, but lower in Capital goods by 47.9%.   State Statistical Office data show that the turnover index in industry on the domestic market in August 2022, in comparison with July 2022, increased by 4.3%, while in the period January-August 2022, in comparison with January-August 2021, the turnover index in industry on the domestic market increased by 13.1%.   The turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, increased by 19.1%.   According to Main Industrial Groupings, the turnover in industry on the non-domestic market in August 2022, in comparison with August 2021, was higher in Capital goods by 44.7% and Non-durable consumer goods by 30.0%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 17.5% and Durable consumer goods by 24.3%.   The turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market in August 2022, in comparison with July 2022, increased by 4.3%, while in the period January-August 2022, in comparison with January-August 2021, the turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market, increased by 17.3%.
