Skopje, 16 May 2025 (MIA) - The turnover in industry, total, in March 2025 increased by 1.8% in comparison with March 2024, said the State Statistical Office on Friday.

The turnover index in industry, total, in March 2025, in comparison with February 2025, rose by 9.1%, while in Q1 of 2025, in comparison with Q1 2024, the turnover index in industry rose by 2.9%.

In March 2025, a 5.3% increase was registered in the manufacture of food products, 8.8% in the manufacture of basic metals, while a drop of 10.7% was registered in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.

The turnover index in industry, total, in March 2025, in comparison with March 2024 by Main Industrial Groupings was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 4.9%, Durable consumer goods by 0.6% and Non-durable consumer goods by 2.1% but lower in Capital goods by 0.1%.

The turnover index in industry on the domestic market in March 2025, in comparison with March 2024, dropped by 7.1%, while in the Q1 2025, in comparison with Q1 2024, the turnover index in industry on the domestic market, dropped by 4.4%.

The turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market, in March 2025, in comparison with March 2024, rose by 3.4%, while in the period Q1 2025, in comparison with Q1 2024, the turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market rose by 4%.
