Industrial production up 2.7 percent in September: statistics

Skopje, 31 October 2025 (MIA) – Industrial production rose by 2.7 percent in September 2025, compared to September 2024, and by 2.3 percent for the January – September 2025 period compared to the same period in 2024, said the State Statistical Office on Friday.
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in September 2025, in comparison with September 2024, decreased by 1.7%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 3.1%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 2.5%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions: Manufacture of food products, Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, Manufacture of rubber and plastic products, Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, Manufacture of electrical equipment, Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and Manufacture of furniture.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in September 2025, in comparison with September 2024, was higher in Energy by 1.6%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.0% and Capital goods by 3.0%, but lower in Durable consumer goods by 5.6% and Non-durable consumer goods by 0.6%.
