Skopje, 29 July 2022 (MIA) - Industrial production in period January-June 2022, in comparison with the same period in 2021, rose by 2.5 percent, said the State Statistical Office on Friday. Industrial production in June was up 0.9 percent compared to the same month in 2021. Industrial production in section Mining and quarrying in June decreased by 4.1%, in section Manufacturing it increased by 0.1%, while in section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 10.1%. The increase in section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, Manufacture of rubber and plastic products, Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products, Manufacture of electrical equipment, Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. and Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers. Industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in June was higher in Energy by 17.5%, Capital goods by 7.0%, Durable consumer goods by 6.6% and in Non-durable consumer goods by 0.3%.
