Skopje, 18 October 2023 (MIA) - The Red Cross will realize Wednesday an earthquake first aid simulation exercise titled "Humanitarian Response 2023" in the Skopje City Park, under the auspices of President Stevo Pendarovski.

The exercise is held within the observances of the 60th anniversary from the Skopje devastating earthquake and the frequent disasters in the country and region.

The main goal of the exercise is to present the capacities, possibilities and preparedness of the Red Cross in a coordinated response during crisis.

More than 500 people are expected to take part, along with two helicopters and 40 vehicles, coming from institutions involved in the crisis management system, national and international Red Cross teams.

Due to the exercise activities, streets leading to the City Park will be closed for traffic between 9 am and 2 pm.
