Skopje, 22 February 2024 (EU Delegation/MIA) - Ambassador David Geer, Head of the Delegation of the European Union, together with other EU Member States ambassadors will take part in a donation ceremony in Europe House Veles.

The donation ceremony is the final event of the Charity Bazaar which was organised by the „Dobredojde” Macedonia Welcome Centre in December last year, under the patronage of Ambassador Geer. Team Europe was represented by the embassies of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Poland, Spain and Sweden. Other international partners also took part in the Bazaar, such as the embassies of Switzerland and Japan, the Confucius Institute at the University "St. Cyril and Methodius", the Secretariat of South East Health Network and the Honorary Consul - General of Mongolia, the EU Delegation said in a press release.

With the help of the Association of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities – Veles, the Centre for Youth Activism KRIK - Skopje and the Public institution for rehabilitation of children and youth – Skopje, the funds collected at the Charity Bazaar were used for the purchase of equipment for people with disabilities in several homes in Skopje and Veles. The beneficiaries will receive household products which will help improve their everyday life.
