Humanitarian aid to be collected for fire-affected villages

Skopje, 5 August 2024 (MIA) – Starting Monday, a campaign for the collection of humanitarian aid for people affected by the wildfires in Eastern Macedonia kicks off with a point being opened in Skopje nearby East Gate Mall.
People are asked to donate canned food, clothes, shoes, furniture, mattresses and other non-perishable goods, which will be distributed to nearly 400 households in close to 30 villages.
The relief is coordinated by the coalition led by “Humanitarian actions.mk”, the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia and the International Police Organization.
Lasting for several days, the campaign aims to improve the lives of the people whose homes burned down in Eastern Macedonia. People can also donate doors and windows, which is planned in the second phase of the drive.
