Skopje, 6 September 2025 (MIA) - An honorary gun salute will be performed at the Ilinden barracks on Sunday to mark September 8 - Independence Day.

A test firing will be conducted at 6 p.m. with one volley from six artillery pieces, followed by the official salute at 7 p.m. consisting of ten volleys from six artillery pieces.

“The honorary salute, as part of the Army’s ceremonial duties for marking national holidays, is one of the activities carried out in celebration of Independence Day – September 8,” the General Staff of the Army said in a press release Saturday.
