High-level Romanian military delegation to visit Army on Tuesday
- A high-level delegation of the Romanian Armed Forces, led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gheorghiță Vlad, will begin an official visit to the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia on Tuesday.
Skopje, 1 September 2025 (MIA) - A high-level delegation of the Romanian Armed Forces, led by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Gheorghiță Vlad, will begin an official visit to the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia on Tuesday.
The delegation will be welcomed with the highest military honors at the General Staff of the Army, after which they will meet with their host, Chief of Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski.
According to the Macedonian Army, the main topics to be discussed at the meeting include: the Army’s transformation process, its participation in international missions, training and exercise capacities of the Krivolak army field, opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the field of special operations forces, mutual assistance in achieving NATO capability targets and improving interoperability, as well as other topics aimed at enhancing the bilateral military cooperation.
During the visit, General Vlad is also expected to meet with Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski.
