Health Ministry: 152 people hospitalized, 18 critical after nightclub fire

Skopje, 16 March 2025 (MIA) - Currently 152 patients are hospitalized in various medical facilities across the country where they are receiving the necessary treatment, the Health Ministry has said in a press release, noting the health system was fully mobilized immediately after the devastating fire in a nightclub in Kochani.
Out of all hospitalized patients, 18 are in critical condition.
“The Health Ministry would like to assure the public that all available resources have been mobilized and not a single patient has been left without the necessary treatment. Saving lives and ensuring the best conditions for the recovery of the injured remains our top priority,” the Health Ministry said.
Health Minister Arben Taravari said the Health Ministry has established a team which is communicating with all medical facilities that have received patients.
The patients in more critical conditions have been taken to Skopje, Taravari said.
The Health Minister said they will determine which patients will be treated outside of the country.
