Skopje, 30 December 2023 (MIA) - The Ministry of Health has said that all public health institutions are prepared with on-duty teams ahead of New Year's Eve.

In order to avoid unwanted consequences such as alcohol poisoning and traffic accidents, we call on citizens to celebrate peacefully and responsibly, by consuming moderate alcohol quantities and be cautious over excessive food intake. Preventing intoxication on New Year's Eve is important for the health of an individual and those in his proximity, the Ministry of Health said in a press release.

In addition, the Ministry urges against use of fireworks that can cause severe bodily injuries.
