Heads of Tetovo hospital resign after tragic fire
Skopje, 10 September 2021 (MIA) – Head of the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo, Florin Besimi, and the economic director, Artan Etemi, resigned this afternoon after the fire in the covid center in which 14 people were killed.
Besimi posted on Facebook that such decision is inevitable after such a tragic and unfortunate event.
“It is with great pain and sorrow for every victim and every member of their families that I inform you that due to the moral responsibility I feel, I am resigning from the position of Head of the Clinical Hospital in Tetovo. This decision is inevitable after such a tragic and unfortunate event. At the same time, I hope that the investigation will be completed as soon as possible and the causes of the fire that took over the modular covid center in Tetovo will be revealed,” Besimi said.
Economic director Artan Etemi also announced he was resigning for moral reasons.
“With great pain from the tragedy that happened in the modular covid center in Tetovo, where I was there myself, from the sorrowful images I experienced pulling out the bodies of the victims with my own hands, I resign from the position of economic director for moral reasons. I believe in the principle that the investigative bodies and the internationally engaged experts will find the real cause of the tragedy that took place in the modular center and broke our hearts. I share the pain with the grieving families of the victims,” Etemi said.
