Grubi: Looking to secure six more MPs for constitutional amendments, no Gov't reshuffle planned
Skopje, 20 September 2022 (MIA) – There are currently 74 MPs who are ready to support the constitutional amendments in Parliament and we will succeed in securing the votes of six more lawmakers from the Macedonian opposition, which we need in order to reach a two-third majority, said First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Political System and Inter-community Relations, Artan Grubi on Tuesday. “We will find six MPs in the pro-European section of the opposition where the European spirit is obviously growing. Who do I mean? The Macedonian opposition. Do I mean VMRO MPs? The Macedonian opposition isn’t only VMRO,” said Grubi in a TV interview. When asked if they think they will receive Levica’s support, Grubi said there are other political parties in the opposition as part of VMRO-DPMNE’s coalition. “There is the Socialist Party, there is the Serbian Party, the Roma Party, there are other parties, there are also independent MPs,” said Grubi. On whether Goran Milevski’s resignation from his ministerial post paves the way for a Government reshuffle, Grubi said there are no such plans. “So far, I have no information on a potential Government reshuffle, besides the resignation of Goran Milevski. There have been no such discussions in the Government. No changes are being planned, neither in the Government nor in the directorial posts,” said Grubi. ad/ba/
