Grkovska, Romanian Ambassador discuss improving cooperation in anti-corruption policy creation
Skopje, 16 September 2022 (MIA) - Deputy Prime Minister in charge of good governance policies Slavica Grkovska met Friday with Romanian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Adela Monica Axinte to discuss ways to improve cooperation between North Macedonia and Romania, primarily as regards the creation of anti-corruption policies and good governance. They also discussed ways to share useful experiences from Romania in the EU accession process, the government said in a press release. Deputy PM Grkovska thanked Romania for its friendship and support noting that the office for good governance policy creation is focused  on several projects in relation to anti-corruption policies and integrity, set to be implemented in the coming period. Ambassador Axinte welcomed the start of the screening process for North Macedonia's EU accession saying the country can rely on expert support from Romania in reform implementation deemed necessary for the EU integration processes. As regards the opening of Skopje's negotiations with the EU, Grkovska thanked for the sincere and friendly support from Romania. Both Grkovska and Axinte concluded that their countries should keep maintaining the good relation and working in improving cooperation in the interest of all citizens in the two countries.
