Grkovska calls for networking through shared commitment to greater openness, strong integrity, ethics

Skopje, 23 March 2023 (MIA) - Good governance is key for building trust between citizens and their institutions, as well as for relations between countries. And above all, in order to achieve sustainable socio-economic development to benefit all citizens, Deputy PM for good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, said at the good governance and anti-corruption forum of women leaders from Southeast Europe on Thursday.

"With the establishment of this forum, of this new regional network, we want to highlight the values and benefits of women's cooperation and solidarity, and send a message that we are open to alliances with all who stand for respecting the principles of good governance," said Grkovska.

This forum, Grkovska pointed out, will enable us to help each other by exchanging good practices, advice, human and professional support.

"Let's network through shared commitment to greater openness, strong integrity and ethics," she said.

The event to promote the good governance and anti-corruption forum of women leaders from Southeast Europe was initiated by Deputy PM for good governance policies, Slavica Grkovska, and supported by UN Women, RAI and UNODC.

In addition to Deputy PM Grkovska, OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid, U.S. Ambassador to North Macedonia Angela Aggeler, Head of UN Women program office Vesna Ivanovikj, Head of RAI Secretariat Desislava Gotskova, and UNODC Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer Jennifer Sarvary Bradford will also address the forum.
