Grkovska – Aggeler: Partnership with United States continues to ensure more efficient approach in anti-corruption policies
Skopje, 15 November 2022 (MIA) – The need to change the approach in relation to anti-corruption policies in order to achieve better results was in the focus of Tuesday's meeting between Deputy PM for good governance policies Slavica Grkovska and the newly appointed United States Ambassador to North Macedonia Angela Price Aggeler.   Grkovska extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Aggeler, expressing confidence that given her experience and determination, she will contribute to further deepening of bilateral relations between the two countries, strengthening cooperation, as well as a more efficient approach in the fight against corruption, the Government said in a press release.   The Deputy PM thanked the Ambassador for the continuous U.S. support, both in terms of the country’s European integration path, and in terms of capacity building in all areas, which is a prerequisite for a strong democratic society.   Aggeler welcomed the efforts that Deputy PM Grkovska and her office are undertaking in the area of strengthening the transparency of institutions, as a key tool in the fight against corruption.   “Participants in the meeting also discussed the support that the United States provides to North Macedonia in terms of the process for the digital transformation of society, which was assessed as a key process for strengthening capacities, responsibility and professionalism of the institutions,” reads the press release.
