Skopje, 4 August 2021 (MIA) – The government at a session Wednesday decided to award all firefighters dispatched to battle the blazes that hit Kochani and its surroundings, Deputy Prime Minister Ljupcho Nikolovski announced. “A reward of 10,000 denars each will be handed out as a show of gratitude for their bravery, professionalism and sacrifice in the mission to save lives and protect the country’s natural resources. Their sacrifice and professionalism won’t be forgotten,” Nikolovski, who is in charge of fight against corruption and crime, sustainable development and human resources, wrote on Facebook. He also thanked citizens, professionals, volunteers and institutions that “battled the fire selflessly”.
