Gov’t recommended to declare 30-day nationwide state of crisis due to wildfire outbreak
Skopje, 4 August 2021 (MIA) – The managing committee at a session Wednesday evening decided to recommend the government declare nationwide state of crisis for 30 days after approving a proposal of the evaluation group. The recommendation was made due to the outbreak of wildfires and the threat to the public, Crisis Management Center head Stojanche Angelov wrote on Facebook. He also serves as head of the evaluation group, made up of the directors of the Protection and Rescue Directorate, national security agency, Public Security Bureau, the Intelligence Agency, deputy chief of the army general staff, the head of the military security and intelligence service, and the national security adviser of the President. The managing committee is comprised of the ministers of the interior, foreign affairs, defence, health, transport and the evaluation group head.
