Skopje, 19 June 2025 (MIA) - Around 50 schools across the country will get photovoltaic systems installed during the summer, the Government said in a press release on Thursday.
"The Ministry of Education and Science has signed an agreement for a non-refundable grant of EUR 1.1 million with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) for investment in renewable energy sources. This investment will save large budget funds, and the money can then be reinvested in infrastructure projects, textbooks and digital aids for students," reads the press release.
Investing in renewable energy sources, it adds, will reduce financial costs, and will also contribute to reducing environmental pollution.
"The government has a vision, a plan and a goal to improve the educational process. Through quality reformed education and implementation of projects, we will improve the education system. The country is on the path of change," the press release reads.
