Gov’t approves draft laws on ratification of agreements on freedom of movement with identity cards and recognition of diplomas
- The government at its session on Tuesday approved draft laws on ratification of the Agreement on Freedom of Movement with Identity Cards in the Western Balkans, the Agreement on Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications in the Western Balkans and the Agreement Recognition of Professional Qualifications for Doctors of Medicine, Dentists and Architects, in the context of the Central European Free Trade Agreement.
Skopje, 14 March 2023 (MIA) - The government at its session on Tuesday approved draft laws on ratification of the Agreement on Freedom of Movement with Identity Cards in the Western Balkans, the Agreement on Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications in the Western Balkans and the Agreement Recognition of Professional Qualifications for Doctors of Medicine, Dentists and Architects, in the context of the Central European Free Trade Agreement.
The decisions were adopted during the 135th government session, following proposals from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The leaders of the six countries of the Western Balkans; Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia, signed three regional agreements at the Berlin Process 2022 Western Balkans Summit on November 3, 2022.
Upon Ministry of Defence’s proposal, the government also adopted decisions to send members of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia to participate in several exercises in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Greece, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Poland, and the Republic of Slovenia.
