Budget rebalance this summer, mini redistribution now, Dimitrieska-Kochoska tells MIA
- The budget will be rebalanced, and it is expected, but I expect that it will happen in the summer period. Right now, we will conduct a mini redistribution once the public call for municipalities is finished, and the redistribution we are planning is because we couldn’t anticipate in advance which Ministry the funds would be allocated to, Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska says in an interview with MIA’s Athens correspondent.

Athens, 10 April 2025 (MIA) – The budget will be rebalanced, and it is expected, but I expect that it will happen in the summer period.
Minister Dimitrieska-Kochoska is participating in the 10th Delphi Economic Forum in Greece, where one of the main economic topics is the US tariffs and yesterday's new decision by US President Donald Trump. In a video interview with MIA, Dimitrieska-Kochoska speaks about the global economic situation, what it means for Europe, whether and how it will affect the country, and whether there will be consequences for citizens.
She mentions that 'unpredictability' is the word most commonly used in Delphi to define the whole situation, but highlights that the US tariffs relevant to our country should not cause panic nor be interpreted negatively.
As for Europe, she notes that the message from the forum is that there needs to be more changes aimed at increasing trade and exchange within Europe, as well as focusing more on regulations, faster administration, and more efficient work.
MIA's full video interview with Finance Minister Gordana Dimitrieska-Kochoska will be published on Friday.
