Skopje, 19 August 2024 (MIA) - Skopje Mayor Danela Arsovska is set to draft a plan that will be presented before the council members by the end of the week, said Minister of Local Self-Government Zlatko Perinski after a meeting of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski with Arsovska on Monday.

Minister Perinski said they did not hear anything constructive from the Mayor to solve the problems with the public waste disposal and transportation enterprises.

"We are even more concerned now than before the meeting. We expected to see a plan from the City or ways in which the Government can assist its implementation. However, we did not hear anything constructive from them," Perinski told a press conference after the meeting.

He added that lack of communication among groups of council members in the City of Skopje is one of the obstacles in the realization of the City projects.

"The Mayor has proposed to draft a plan that will be presented before the City of Skopje council members by the end of the week, although I must admit that our expectations are rather low," noted Perinski.

He said they would wait and see the proposal and then take the next steps.
