Government approves hiring of two retired pilots amid wildfire threat

Negotino, 11 July 2024 (MIA) - The Government approved Thursday the hiring of two retired pilots of firefighting aircraft by the Protection and Rescue Directorate (PRD).
The Crisis Management Center (CMC) said in a press release that the pilots will sign the contracts on Friday, so they can immediately engage in the fire extinguishing activities across the country.
A wildfire is active at Serta mountain in the Negotino region, added the CMC.
