Skopje, 20 July 2022 (MIA) – The Government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) buildings in Skopje were lit up in the EU colors Tuesday evening, marking the official beginning of the accession negotiations. “Today in Brussels we wrote a new chapter in the Macedonian history and we promise that we will rapidly move towards further progress and stability for all our citizens. The European values are our values and the friendships we build create new cultural bridges and possibilities for us all. We are united in diversity and ready for EU at home and North Macedonia in the EU. To honor this, the Government and MFA buildings shine in the colors of our future home – the European Union,” said the Government in a Facebook post. Minister for Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani, also wrote on Facebook that the MFA building is lit up in the EU colors as symbol of the official start of accession talks. ad/ba/
