Skopje, 8 October 2025 (MIA) - The construction of a new football stadium, reconstruction of the “Shuto Orizari” sports center, the construction of a new cultural center “Esma Redzepova” and the implementation of the social program “Skopje - A City that Cares for All” were among the projects presented Wednesday by VMRO-DPMNE's candidate for Skopje Mayor, Orce Gjorgjievski, during a visit to the Municipality of Shuto Orizari.

“Shuto Orizari is a part of our vision for a modern and functional Skopje, where every municipality gets a chance to develop its potential,” Gjorgjievski said.

The VMRO-DPMNE candidate spoke about the construction of a new football stadium with stands, locker rooms, lighting, and access infrastructure, which would be used for youth sports activities, as well as for local and regional competitions and community events.

Gjorgjievski said a complete reconstruction of the “Shuto Orizari” sports center is also planned, featuring new fields, green areas, and urban equipment, with the goal of restoring its role as a hub for sports and recreation.

In the field of culture, Gjorgjievski presented plans for the construction of a new cultural center named “Esma Redzepova” which would serve as a venue for theater plays, concerts, exhibitions, cinema projections, and youth activities.

As part of the social program “Skopje - A City that Cares for All”, Gjorgjievski presented plans for systemic support for citizens at social risk, including financial aid, humanitarian packages, psychosocial support, and retraining programs. Centers will also be established, he said, that would offer 24-hour care and resocialization programs for the homeless.
