Geer: Very important to have public debate on constitutional amendments
- The EU has always said that it is very important to have a public debate on the constitutional amendments, and of course, the EU welcomes the adoption of the draft constitutional amendments in the Government. The process is now to continue in the Parliament, however, I would also like to point out that the issue regarding the constitutional amendments, it is a sovereign decision of your country, and it is an issue that should be addressed by your country, EU Ambassador David Geer said in response to MIA's question on the EU's expectations from the beginning of the process of constitutional amendments.

Radovish, 19 July 2023 (MIA) - The EU has always said that it is very important to have a public debate on the constitutional amendments, and of course, the EU welcomes the adoption of the draft constitutional amendments in the Government.
According to Geer, who visited Radovish on Wednesday, in reviewing and debating the draft constitutional amendments, MPs should always have the national interest of the country and the European future of the country in mind.
As part of "EUwithYou", Ambassador Geer met Wednesday with Radovsih Mayor Aco Ristov, members of the municipality's Council, administration and representatives of civil society.
After the meeting, Geer said talks focused on many issues and problems that the citizens of Radovish face. The EU Ambassador noted that a water treatment plant has been built in Radovish with the help of the EU, and ongoing projects have also been discussed.
