Skopje, 2 August 2025 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi, on behalf of the MPs and the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia, extended on Satuday heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of August 2 - Republic Day.

"This day is a symbol of the historical struggle for a free, equal and democratic society, values that represent today the foundation of our community and the institutions of the state. This date is not only part of the history of the state, but also an obligation to preserve and further promote the vision of a modern state aimed at peace, progress and Euro-Atlantic integration. May this day be an incentive to reflect on the common path we have built as a state and as a society, as well as to further encourage mutual understanding, cooperation and commitment to the good of the homeland, regardless of ethnic, religious or political differences," Speaker Gashi said in his message of congratulations on Republic Day - Ilinden.
