FVA receives international ISO quality management certificate for third time

Skopje, 20 March 2024 (MIA) - For the third time, the certification body Quality Austria has awarded the international certificate for quality management to the Food and Veterinary Agency (FVA) for the implemented Quality Management System, in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

The certification awarded to the FVA was granted following favourable evaluations from the certification body MQS, a regional partner of Quality Austria, the Austrian National Certification Body. This certification recognizes the quality of services provided by the Agency.

“On February 23, representatives from MQS recommended extending the Food and Veterinary Agency's quality management certificate for three years after evaluating the functionality of the documented Quality Management System, its compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard requirements, and its practical application,” according to the FVA.

According to FVA director Nikolche Babovski, the international quality management certificate holds significant importance for the Agency, especially in anticipation of the start of EU accession negotiations.

"This certificate is the result of the efforts of all employees at the Agency, who, through their daily work and the quality of services they provide, prove that the established Quality Management System is of a very high standard within the FVA," Babovski said.

The FVA announces that they will continue to work on the overall maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System with the utmost commitment from all employees, aiming to meet the demands and expectations of its service users.
