Skopje, 6 February 2025 (MIA) — Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski is on a working visit to Australia on Feb. 6-13. He will meet with his Australian counterpart as well as businesspeople and members of the Macedonian diaspora. This is the first time a Macedonian foreign minister has visited the country in 15 years.

In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said FM Mucunski was set to meet with Australian Minister of Foreign Affairs Penny Wong. Mucunski is also expected to partake in activities for the country's economic promotion as well as numerous meetings with representatives of the business sector.

As part of the visit, the foreign minister will also meet with Macedonian and Australian businesspeople and members of Australia's Parliamentary Friendship Group with North Macedonia.

“The visit will focus on meetings with representatives of the Macedonian diaspora in Australia," the release said. "The minister will give an interview in Macedonian for SBS Radio, in which he will touch upon the current policies and priorities in the relations between the two countries.” ad/mr
