Foreign Minister Mucunski meets Czech Minister of Industry and Trade Vlček in Prague

Skopje, 5 November 2024 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mucunski, is paying an official visit to Prague, the Czech Republic. Mucunski, along with Energy Minister Sanja Bozhinovska, met Tuesday morning with the Czech Minister of Industry and Trade, Lukáš Vlček. Following their discussions, they addressed the Macedonian-Czech business forum, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

“The talks with Minister Vlček focused on the excellent economic cooperation and the interest in its further development. The importance of prior meetings of the Joint Committee under the Agreement on Economic and Industrial Cooperation between the two countries was underscored, along with the exchange of ideas on specific initiatives and activities aimed at strengthening economic ties,” reads the press release.

During the Macedonian-Czech business forum, Ministers Mucunski and Bozhinovska, along with Czech Minister Vlček, presented the investment opportunities in both countries.

“The initiatives of the Macedonian government aimed at improving the business climate, attracting foreign investment, and promoting exports were presented. In addition, the opportunities for economic cooperation and investment projects were underscored, with the aim of positioning the country as the next destination for foreign direct investments, which will help reinforce the economic partnership between the two countries,” as noted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.
