Sofia, 28 October 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani has said that it needs to be checked who is behind the opening of the Macedonian club in Blagoevgrad but also clubs in North Macedonia, MIA reports from Sofia. FM Osmani told BTV checks must be carried out while considering the sensitivity of bilateral relations, in order to see whether there is a genuine good intention or this is part of another agenda. Bulgaria’s VMRO has said it would stage a protest in Blagoevgrad on Sunday, whereas fans of local football club Pirin are expected to celebrate the club’s 100th anniversary. Blagoevgrad police says it is undertaking measures to prevent an escalation of events.
