FM Osmani to visit Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia
Skopje, 9 November 2022 (MIA) – Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani is set to visit Vilnius, Tallinn and Riga as part of a Baltic tour Wednesday through Friday. During the meetings with his hosts, FM Osmani will reaffirm the country’s support to strengthening NATO’s eastern wing in defense of the European continent as a result of the changed geopolitical context, promote the European file of North Macedonia, which is going through the screening process with the Union, and present the priorities of the country’s OSCE chairpersonship. As part of Wednesday’s official visit to Lithuania, Osmani will meet with Lithuanian counterpart Gabrielius Landsbergis and with Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Nielsen, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release. The Foreign Minister will take part in the 2022 Future of Democracy Forum in Vilnius, and visit the NATO Energy Security Centre of Excellence. During Thursday’s visit to Estonia, Osmani will meet with Estonian counterpart Urmas Reinsalu, as well as with Speaker of the Estonian Parliament Jüri Ratas. On the sidelines of his visit to Tallinn, Osmani will visit the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV) and the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE). On Friday, the Foreign Minister will visit Latvia, for talks with Latvian counterpart Edgars Rinkēvičs, and the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Saeima  Rihards Kols. In addition, Osmani will meet with Macedonian soldiers who are part of the Slovenian contingent of the NATO enhanced Forward Presence in Latvia.
