FM Osmani to take part in meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Riga
Skopje, 29 November 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani is travelling to Latvian capital Riga on Monday to take part on Tuesday and Wednesday in the regular meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) at the level of Foreign Affairs Ministers.
“During the two-day working sessions, ministers will discuss issues of strategic importance for the Alliance, such as the situation in Afghanistan, managing current and future security challenges, as well as cooperation with partners. They will also talk about NATO’s new Strategic Concept, as a key document for the Alliance’s future geo-strategic role. Moreover, special focus will be put on discussion on the stability and prosperity of the Western Balkans and stakeholders are expected to stress the need for joint, strategic efforts and NATO and EU access to the Western Balkans, as a key precondition for the stability and prosperity of the region,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
On the sidelines of the event in Riga, the press release read, Osmani will also hold bilateral meetings with several counterparts from NATO member states.
