FM Osmani: North Macedonia supports Ukraine’s sovereignty, territorial integrity
Skopje, 23 August 2021 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani took part on Monday in the inaugural Crimea Platform Summit taking place in Kyiv, Ukraine. Over 40 countries, including EU and NATO member states, as well high representatives from a number of international organizations, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a press release, were presented at the event. In his address, Minister Osmani reaffirmed North Macedonia’s strong support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and invulnerability of Ukraine’s borders, underlining the importance of human rights protection and international humanitarian law. “North Macedonia commends the organization of the Crimea Platform Summit as an international coordination mechanism for reexamining the issue of Crimea, by stressing the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukraine, which rests on the norms of international law, UN General Assembly resolutions and decisions of other international organizations,” Osmani said according to the release. Participants also adopted during Monday’s event a joint declaration.
