FM Osmani meets with German Bundestag delegation

Skopje, 7 February 2024 (MIA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs Bujar Osmani held a meeting Wednesday with a German parliamentary delegation led by Bundestag member Josip Juratovic, who also chairs the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation of the Bundestag with the Countries of Southeast Europe, said the Foreign Ministry in a press release.
In the press release, the Ministry said the meeting focused on bilateral cooperation and the relations between the two countries, “especially in the context of the valuable German support for the country’s European integration”.
“We highly value the continued support of the Federal Republic of Germany for North Macedonia’s Euro-integration process, which is of special importance for the overall regional stability and tangible progress,” said Osmani, briefing the delegation over the current challenges faced by the country on its path to full-fledged EU membership and the Government’s efforts.
The members of the delegation welcomed North Macedonia’s constructive role in the promotion of European security and stability, as the recent chair of the OSCE. Additionally, they positively assessed the country’s contribution to regional cooperation aimed at EU integration, assuring that Germany will continue to provide its support in the coming period, said the press release.
