Skopje, 1 July 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Timcho Mucunski met Monday with German Ambassador Petra Drexler. 

Mucunski expressed gratitude for Germany's unwavering support and commitment on the country's path towards the EU, pointing out that the new Government is strongly focused on European integration and implementing the reforms, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

Interlocutors exchanged views on the alliance within NATO, with special emphasis on cooperation at the upcoming Summit in Washington. In addition, participants in the meeting recognized the country's significant contribution to collective security, peace and prosperity of the entire transatlantic area.

"The two also expressed mutual satisfaction with the development of excellent bilateral ties, which the two friendly countries nurture in continuity over the past three-decade period, expressing commitment to deepening cooperation in the coming period," reads the press release.
