FM Mucunski holds phone call with Czech counterpart Lipavský

Skopje, 27 June 2024 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Timcho Mucunski held a phone call Thursday with his Czech counterpart, Jan Lipavský.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Minister Lipavský congratulated Mucunski on his appointment to the post, wishing him success in his work. The Ministers touched upon the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, stressing their shared commitment to further enhancement of cooperation.
Mucunski, said the press release, voiced gratitude over Czechia’s unequivocal and vocal support for the country’s EU accession talks and reaffirmed the country’s commitment to the strengthening of economic cooperation and support in multilateral organizations.
“The Ministers voiced their expectations over an acceleration of the Euro-integration process and a successful implementation of the launched reforms, while at the same time highlighting the importance of the Western Balkan region becoming a part of the EU as soon as possible,” the press release said.
During the phone call, according to the Ministry, opinions were also exchanged over ongoing international and regional issues, as well as over the cooperation and challenges within multilateral formats with the ultimate goal of maintaining security and peace on the European continent.
