Shtip, 22 July 2024 (MIA) - Five inmates convicted for the 27 April 2017 Parliament storming have been discharged for 30 days, the Shtip prison told MIA.
The Sanction Execution Administration director has approved the 30-day release of inmates Jane Chento, Aleksandar Janevski-Toshka, Oliver Popovski, Mitko Chavkov and Mitko Peshev, whereas another inmate, Dushko Lazarov, will also be discharged for a period of 30 days on July 25.
The Sanction Execution Administration acting director Aleksandar Pandov was quizzed about the issue at a press conference earlier today.
"I cannot deny a request by an inmate with a documented acute health issue and a need for a medical intervention. Several such requests have been filed since I assumed this post and I approved them," he added.
