First edition of Skopje Poetry Festival ends
Skopje, 3 September 2021 (MIA) – The creative writing masterclass led by university professor Kim Simonsen of the Faroe Islands officially closed the first edition of the international Skopje Poetry Festival.
The three festival days included prominent poets, such as Marija Dejanović, Sergey Timofeev, Thanos Gogos, Kim Simonsen, Vónbjørt Vang, Lidija Dimkovska, Vladimir Martinovski, Lira Bojku, Iva Damjanovski, Pavlina Atanasova, Dime Danov, Ana Golejshka Dzhikova, Biljana Stojanovska, Snezhana Stojchevska, Gjoko Zdraveski and Julijana Velichkovska.
On display was also an exhibit by Macedonian painters and graphic designers whose works were inspired by the poets participating in the festival. The artists included Zoran Kardula, Vane Kosturanov, Nikola Pijanmanov, Andrej Pavlov, Voskresija Andreevska, Toni Popov, Mario Kaev, Dime Danov, Aleksandar Ivanov, Natalija Lukomska, Iva Jovanova, Vladimir Lukash, Emilija Misheva, Vladimir Ilievski, Filip Martinovski and Kalin Malovski.
The festival also screened poetry films made by Valentina Baktijarević from Serbia, and six short poetry films were shown in cooperation with Kinoskop – Analog Experimental Film Festival based in Belgrade. dk/nn
