First Deputy PM Mexhiti attends COP29 in Baku

Skopje, 11 November 2024 (MIA) – First Deputy Prime Minister and Environment Minister Izet Mexhiti is paying an official visit to Azerbaijan’s capital Baku, which hosts the 29th UN Climate Change Conference (COP 29).
Mehxiti and Minister of Energy, Mining and Mineral Resources Sanja Bozhinovska are part of a high state delegation, led by President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, the government’s press serviced says.
At COP29, he will take part in meetings of world leaders, who will be discussing the Paris Agreement and the goal of boosting ambitions for climate action.
The climate change summit, said the press release, serves as a platform for pledges, commitments and action plans in line with the objectives of the Paris Agreement. It brings together heads of state and top-ranking officials from all over the world.
