First Deputy PM Grubi meets Slovenian Ambassador Predan
Skopje, 6 December 2021 (MIA) – First Deputy PM and Minister for Political System and Inter-Community Relations Artan Grubi met on Monday with Slovenian Ambassador to North Macedonia Milan Predan and discussed ways to resolve the dispute with Bulgaria. Interlocutors, Grubi’s office said in a press release, noted the need for getting a date to start EU talks, stressing the importance of EU integration for North Macedonia. “They also underlined long-standing bilateral cooperation, adding that Slovenia has always been North Macedonia’s honest supporter, close partner and NATO ally. North Macedonia, they agreed, deserves to start EU accession negotiations at the beginning of next year,” the press release read. Moreover, Grubi and Predan talked about how Slovenia can successfully end its EU Presidency by setting a date for the first intergovernmental conference with North Macedonia and Albania and starting talks in the next few months. Interlocutors discussed the stabilization of the government majority and the coalition’s contribution for the credibility of the implementation of the government’s program and its strategic goals.
